Double Down with MFA!

Even the strongest password can be compromised. That’s why Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is essential—it adds a second layer of protection, like a biometric scan or authenticator app on your phone. It makes it much harder for criminals to access an online account. When it’s available, always turn it on because it’s easy to do and greatly increases your security.

Why MFA Works: In 2024, the USDA implemented phishing-resistant MFA using FIDO security keys for over 40,000 employees. This move prevented unauthorized access—even when credentials were stolen.

MFA Stops Hackers Cold: A recent breach attempt at a financial firm was thwarted when MFA blocked access after a password was compromised. Without the second factor, the attacker was denied access.
